By the time I finally got a random crit with Hellion, it wound up being way more damage than I needed to finish her off. Just attacked on every turn with all three characters until she died. Didn’t really matter who got dumped in the pot at that point, it wound up being Bounty Hunter. There's any number of ways to go about it.Īs for the strategy I wound up using, I took Hellion, Bounty Hunter, Highwayman and Vestal (because of course Vestal in every party) so that every party member had at least one skill that could hit the back line. The Hag could gain new abilities if you destroy the pot first. You could also consider making the pot one unit wide instead of two, so that Crusaders could be a viable choice for this mission. The pot has health points for when it’s not being used, I’m assuming it CAN be destroyed, but there’s no incentive to currently when it’s just a race to kill the Hag as quickly as possible while your teammate is getting cooked alive. Make being tossed into a boiling cauldron more dangerous, but not something that occurs every single time the pot is empty. Give her more health or damage, but less turns relative to the player. But as a boss fight I feel like all the tension is gone once you know how to handle it, in it’s current state. If this is meant to be more of a puzzle to solve than a boss fight, then it functions fine. (Had both Crusader AND Leper the first go round, impossible!) The second is that since she has such low health but takes SO many actions per round, spending the time to free your party members from the pot winds up being a waste, since another will immediately get tossed into the pot. One is that only certain characters and skills can be taken for this mission, front line tanks like Crusader and Leper are almost completely useless. But once I figured out how the whole thing worked, it’s really way too easy now. The first time I encountered this fight I wasn’t aware of this of course, and got trounced. However right now, the most effective way to beat her seems to be to have only characters that can hit rear ranks in your party, leave whoever gets tossed in the pot to boil, and wailing on the hag herself until she’s dead. So this is a boss battle where the main gimmick setting it apart is busting your party members out of her cooking pot. Not sure if this is more or less active than the forums, so I'll post here as well.
